MATRIX RELOADED. v2

It's amazing how life can change so fast.
How one moment she is here,
and the next she is a face in the paper,
in the sections that brings people to
tears.
Regrets swarm me and I try to swat them away,
but then I'm stung by the thought of
what could have happened.
No matter how hurtful I was to her,
to be honest,
I didn't mean it.
I wore a mask of aversion
that was put on me by someone else,
and that I wanted to claw off.
But it was too thick,
and I wasn't strong enough.
She made me capable.
Capable to take of my mask.
Capable to say
I'm sorry.
I pray,
and pray,
and pray,
that she is watching over me,
and that she knows that I am
truely sorry.
It's amazing how life can change so fast.
Rest in peace.

*I need help coming up with a new phrase for the last line, any suggestions?
